WHAT IS TELL ME?

It begins with a conversation.

Before I photograph you, I want to know you. Not your résumé. Not the version of yourself you think you’re supposed to present. I want to hear about the moments that shaped you, the people you love, the chapters you’ve lived, and the parts of yourself you want to remember.

From that conversation, we create your portrait experience together thoughtfully considering location, wardrobe, styling and the details that help tell your story.

Your story becomes part of what we preserve.

The conversation isn’t simply preparation for the photographs. Your words become part of the finished experience. A written reflection of your story, paired with portraits created to express it. Together, they become something you can return to, share, and one day leave behind.

THE TELL ME EXPERIENCE

By the time I photograph you, we will already know one another.

Tell Me unfolds slowly and intentionally, through a series of conversations and time spent together.

We begin with your story. The chapters that shaped you. The people and places that matter. What is changing, what is beginning, what you are leaving behind, and what you want to remember about who you are in this moment.

From there, your portrait begins to take shape.

Together, we consider the setting, wardrobe, styling, professional hair and makeup when desired, and the details that give the photographs meaning. Nothing is arbitrary. Each choice is made in service of telling your story and creating something that feels unmistakably yours.

And through it all, you are guided.

You do not need to know how to be photographed. You do not need to arrive knowing how to pose, what to do with your hands, or how to become comfortable in front of a camera.

That is my work.

The time we spend together before your portrait session creates something that cannot be manufactured on the day of a shoot: familiarity, trust and ease.

So when the day arrives, you are not stepping in front of the camera of a stranger. The decisions have been made. The details have been considered. We already know where we are going.

All that is left is for you to arrive as yourself.

And when the photographs have been made, I return to the words that began it all.

Your conversations become a written story, created alongside your finished portraits. Together, they preserve something a photograph alone cannot quite hold: not only how you looked at this moment in your life, but who you were becoming, what mattered to you, and what it felt like to be here.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

A Tell Me experience is created slowly, thoughtfully, and entirely around you.

Your experience includes a series of conversations and creative planning sessions, where we uncover the story you want to preserve and begin imagining how it might be told.

Together, we consider location, wardrobe, styling and every detail that will give the photographs meaning. Professional hair and makeup can be incorporated when desired.

Then comes the portrait experience itself. Two to three hours set aside not simply to make beautiful photographs, but to create space for you to be fully present, comfortable and seen.

From our time together, I create your written story and a curated collection of approximately 20 to 25 finished photographs, professionally edited and retouched.

When everything is complete, we come together once more to experience what we have created.

THE INVESTMENT

Tell Me experiences begin at $1,850.

The complete Tell Me experience includes our conversations and story interview, creative direction and planning, wardrobe and location guidance, your fully guided portrait session, your written story, approximately 20 to 25 finished photographs, and a final reveal and curation experience.

For those who want to take the story beyond the digital experience, professional hair and makeup, additional styling, fine art prints, framed artwork and custom storybooks can be incorporated to create something lasting and tangible.
